The Russian Business Council in Dubai and the Northern Emirates (RBC) held an official meeting with the leadership of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss practical mechanisms for strengthening business cooperation between the Russian business community and the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
The RBC delegation was received by Dr. Rashed Khalfan Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with Mohammed Hassan Al Sabab Al Teneiji, Deputy Director, and Amal Salem Al Qaz, Strategy and Excellence Coordinator.
The Russian delegation was headed by Kirill Podgorny, Chairman of the Russian Business Council in Dubai. The delegation included RBC leadership and members, as well as a representative of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Dubai.
The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation across a range of sectors, including manufacturing, heavy industry, food and beverages, tourism and hospitality, real estate, technology, and other industries.
Particular attention was given to practical B2B engagement, investor support, market-entry assistance, and participation in exhibitions, forums, and business missions.
The Ras Al Khaimah Chamber also presented its developing “one-stop-shop” approach for investors, aimed at coordinating company formation processes and facilitating interaction with relevant government authorities, including RAKEZ, the Department of Economic Development, and municipal services.
The Chamber expressed its readiness to facilitate connections between Russian companies and relevant local businesses and decision-makers.
Both sides agreed that cooperation should be focused primarily on achieving tangible business results rather than being limited to formal engagement.
Potential areas of cooperation include targeted B2B introductions, joint sector-specific events, participation in business forums in Russia and the UAE, and the development of a structured framework for future cooperation.
