On 5 October 2026, a delegation from the Russian Business Council (RBC), led by Chairman of the Presidium Kirill Podgorny, held a working meeting with representatives of the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), led by Sheikh Saqr Al Qasimi, Head of Commercial Enablement.
During the meeting, SEDD representatives introduced the RBC delegation to Sharjah’s economic and investment potential, highlighting the emirate’s business environment and existing initiatives supporting entrepreneurs and investors.
The discussions focused on opportunities to strengthen business cooperation, support Russian companies interested in establishing or expanding their presence in Sharjah, and foster direct connections between the business communities of Russia and the emirate.
RBC also invited SEDD to participate in the upcoming RBC Business Forum in Moscow, scheduled for 25 November 2026.
The potential formats of SEDD’s participation, along with opportunities for future joint initiatives, will be explored through continued dialogue between the two organisations.
